Woodinville, WA -- Local Business owners Tom Quigley of Olympic Nursery and Susan Webster from Gathering Fabric Quilt Shop have partnered as "garden creators" at this years Northwest Flower & Garden Show to be held February 18-22, 2009 at the Washington State Convention Center. This year's theme -- "Sustainable Spaces. Beautiful Places," marks the 20th anniversary of the show. Both businesses have a unique opportunity to blend the best features from the tall tree nursery and the quilt shop in a glorious patchwork of landscapes, botanicals and textile arts.
In the atrium of the state convention center, the patchwork garden theme will be played out in five vignettes, four in seasons and the fifth - a garden show surprise. Inspired by the ancient silk highway and nature's palette, the garden is a likely one from the passions of Olympic Nursery and Gathering Fabric Quilt Shop.
Visitors are invited to learn more at gardenshow.com and consider taking the Sound Transit bus or drive to the convention center downtown Seattle. Additionally, Gathering Fabric Quilt Shop will be a vendor showing handmade project and quilt kits, home sewn accessories, sewing/quilting books and patterns all using botanical themes and fabric in keeping with the garden show theme.
