Gathering Fabric Quilt Shop Welcomes you to the
2010 Western Washington Quilt Shop Hop.
Buses will be running again this year for Shop Hop We couldn't be more excited to see Julie Paschkis' fabric coming onto the Shop Hop scene for 2010. We learned about Julie's illustrations on fabric from Jason Yenter and In The Beginning Fabrics when Folklorica, her first collection, came out in Fall 2009. These vibrant colors and animal images, so folky and friendly, yet reminiscent of art seen worldwide. We've heard customer's remark: Peruvian, Scandinavian and recently, Zanzibar. Our quilt shop is experiencing lots of enthusiasm for Julie and her bright, attractive images on fabric. Folklorica is available for immediate purchase in the shop, and we are busy designing projects using coordinates from ITB fabrics and others.
Children's books, illustrated by Julie, will be available in our shop throughout the shop hop season. We plan to bring you projects paired with children's books as our 2010 offering to shop hoppers. Please drop by our newly expanded "courtyard quilt shop" to see the fabric collections from Julie Paschkis and the textile projects created by our staff of quilt designers. Julie Paschkis is an illustrator of children's books. Her bio is lengthy with titles of books from many authors. We're just as excited to see her books as her fabric collection. Her new one coming up in June is Oceanica in blues and greens with more of her friendly creatures from the sea. Then of course, Julie has designed the 2010 shop hop fabric bringing Woodland animals into the picture in a magical place of forests and streams.
