Dream about visiting a quilt shop in Paris? Love to travel and meet new people? Love to quilt and design new projects? Well, here's something new and fun to do that let's you do all three.
Join us for an inter-continental block exchange with our Sister-Shop in Paris.
Valerie, from Best of Quilting in Marcoussis, France and Susan, from Gathering Fabric Quilt Shop in Woodinville, invite you to be a part of their sister quilt shop Round Robin Block Exchange.
Here's how it works.
- Sign up by purchasing the Perpetual Calendar Block Book from Martingale.
- Receive two free fat quarters or one half yard of fabric to use in your block and some extra to send along.
- Create a 12 inch finished size block of your choice, applique' or pieced. Make it your best block.
- Complete your best block by November and write a short bio about yourself and where you live as you would a pen-pal.
- Susan and Valerie will exchange blocks with each other's shops trans-continentally.
- Blocks received with be further pieced by the exchange quilter and shops into a medallion-like small quilt using the additional quarter yard (fat quarter) piece provided.
- Photo's to be exchanged by the shops after the first of the new year.
